What to expect at your child's first visit

No surprises. We walk you and your child through every step, at their pace.

1

Warm Welcome

You and your child are greeted by name and shown around our sensory-friendly waiting area.

2

Gentle Exam

Our dentist walks your child through each step before it happens - no surprises, no rushing.

3

Cleaning (if ready)

If your child is comfortable, we do a gentle cleaning and check for any early concerns.

4

Parent Debrief

We review findings with you directly and answer every question, big or small.

How to prepare your child

Keep it simple and positive. Tell your child you're going to visit a dentist who is going to count their teeth and make sure their smile is healthy. Avoid words like "hurt," "shot," or "drill" - we'll explain things in kid-friendly language when we get there.

What to bring

Insurance card and photo ID

Completed patient forms (or arrive 15 min early)

A comfort item if your child likes to hold something familiar

Ready for your child's first visit?

We recommend a first checkup by age one, or as soon as the first tooth appears.
